Yesterday we added to our busy week by attending a tour of the hospital where I will give birth. The tour was informative and helpful to see but what we really enjoyed were the people that were on the tour with us.

First off, our child birth educator (the woman who teaches our lamaze classes) lead the tour. She is a super nice lady but has this bad habit of saying "in that way" at the end of sentences and it's starting to get on my nerves! She says it at inappropriate times. For example, she will say something like "You will have access to the refrigerator in the labor and delivery area, in that way." I think you can see how annoying this becomes when it is said about 8-10 times a night in a 2 hours span - especially when about 45 minutes to an hour are spent watching videos or in relaxation breathing.

Then we had navy shirt and messed up teeth girl attend the tour. Navy shirt was actually wearing jeans for once but still have navy in his shirt. Not much of a surprise to us...

Skoal ring didn't show but his wife came without him. Her mom (I'm guessing) came with her for this tour though. Skoal ring was out fishing instead. I don't know, but if it was me and Mike couldn't come that day I think I would have just waited to go on the next tour in 2 weeks. She's not due until mid-May so what's the rush to do it without him? Mike felt like the information was good for us both to know...

Then we had our favorite tour companion. 17-year-old girl and her parents. We had all kinds of fun speculating over that one after we left. The girl was obviously still trying to impress others with her fashion sense but really ended up giving more of a show then I was interested in. Her parents didn't really seem too thrilled to be there but at least they were supportive by accompanying her.

Man, this all makes us seem like very judgmental people! I think it's all from the years of working in social sciences. We like to people watch and then speculate about what we think is really going on. I'm sure you all do it too, so we're not the only "bad" people in this world! :)
