Very Interesting

I had a strange experience on Libby's birthday last week. When my mom called to wish Lib a happy birthday she asked me if I ever have cramps on that day (like residual contractions or something). I said that I hadn't had any experiences like that before. Later that evening, Mike and I were watching TV and I felt a horrible cramp-like pain (way worse than regular menstrual cramps and more like a contraction) and I looked at the clock. It was 9:40 which happens to be the time that Libby was born. The pain lasted about a minute then went away as if it had never happened. I told this to a co-worker today and then she emailed me this link about cellular memory. Hmmm.. Interesting. We'll have to see what happens on Brynn's birthday.

Princess Tea Party

I took Libby to a Princess Tea Party today put on as a fundraiser by a local kid's theater group. It was pretty cute. Libby seemed to enjoy herself but was a little freaked out by the actual princesses. I think she has some issue with people in costumes. At any rate, I was able to get her to stand with a few for pictures. Most of the little girls came dressed up in princess attire also. Libby didn't want to wear a crown because she wanted a blue headband like Cinderella wears.




These were all the real princesses that attended the party also. Libby didn't want to parade across the stage but was willing to meet Tiana (from The Princess and the Frog) and Ariel (The Little Mermaid). She also talked with Cinderella a little bit but I wasn't able to get a picture of that.

Libby's Birthday Party

We had Libby's first birthday party with friends today. She was EXCITED! It was really fun. We had it at a park with a playground and it was a beautiful day. I couldn't be more pleased with how the day turned out. My parents took these awesome pictures. I'm glad someone did! I only got a few and they didn't turn out that great.


Libby got this Birthday Girl shirt from Mamaw and wanted to wear it today and again tomorrow on her real birthday. So I promised that we'd wash it tonight.

Brynn had fun too. She loved the swings.

Better Late Than Never

That seems to be the story of my life lately. We still have boxes that are not unpacked from moving in December. Everything seems to be so rushed lately and at times, it's hard to keep up. But anyway... That's a blog for another day.

This is a picture of us from Easter. The girls looked so cute!


Brynn is getting so big. She can say momma, daddy, bye, hi, pretty, book, Earl, and Libby. She wants to walk pretty badly but isn't quite confident enough to do it yet.

This weekend we're having Libby's first birthday party with friends. I'm probably about as excited as she is. We're going to have it at a park outside and the weather is supposed to be beautiful. I'll try to post some pictures shortly after the party.
