We were supposed to have a showing on the house today so I had promised the girls that we would get McDonald's and picnic at the park. Well, the showing fell through but I kept my word and we did picnic at the park and then played on the playground. We had a great time playing and goofing off.

New Motto
Our new house motto is from one of Libby's favorite books...
"No matter what you step in, just keep walking along and singing your song because it's all good."
We love Pete The Cat. He's the best.

Full Heart
Tonight we had our last counselor meeting of the year. The elementary school counselors surprised me with these wonderfully thoughtful gifts. They created this very touching cutting board for me and then several of them wrote letters that were made into a book. I feel so very loved. It is so difficult for me to say goodbye to this group of people. I might use this as a job reference though!

Birthday Girls
We celebrated both girls' birthdays yesterday at the park. We had a lot of friends and family show up and had a GREAT time!!
My wonderful 6 year old girl enjoying the sand pit.
Blowing bubbles with friends
Brynn was DIRTY and loved every minute of it.
Brynn and her little friend Ella both went home without pants and completely covered in dirt and sand. Does that mean the party was a success?
Mike is lighting the candles, but they all look confused, don't they?
It totally looks like it's Sam's birthday and not Libby's!
Libby and her friend Evan. He made her the sweetest gift with his picture and address inside.
Libby and her longest friend - Piper
Libby with another longtime friend - Kaden
The girls both received these new balance bikes from Grandma and Grandpa. We tried them out this morning at the park. They will take a little practice to get used to them but I think they liked them quite a lot.
Libby has been really emotional lately. She cries every night about moving and missing her friends. This upcoming move is so hard on all of us. We're all leaving great friends and moving away from family that is fairly close. Columbia has been my home for 14 years and Mike's for 9. We have made some amazing friends here and will not soon forget any of them. In the next few weeks as my time here draws to a close, I'm going to try to remember one of my favorite quotes.
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr. Seuss
