Moving and Jobs

Mike applied for one job around here. They said "thanks but no thanks" so it looks like we're going to move (again). The only bad thing is that we don't know where we're going yet. As of now, Mike has had 3 decent interviews in 3 different locations - St. Louis, Boston, and Birmingham. I don't know when we'll hear from them to know for sure where we're going or what we'll be doing. I don't even know if I'll be going with him or staying back for the school year with the girls so I can work and figure things out for work for me in the new location.

So we're getting the house ready to put it on the market. We've only lived in it a year and a half. We're very sad to have to pack up and move but feel that we have no choice.

4th of July

We usually travel to West Virginia over the 4th of July holiday to visit with some of Mike's family. This year we cancelled our trip when Mike lost his job. We just couldn't justify the money we'd spend even though we love our time there. We may just have to go another time of year this year when he is employed again. Anyway, last year the girls were so obsessed with this stool that Helen (Mike's grandmother) gave it to us. They use it all the time to get water and snacks in the kitchen and they sit on it to watch TV just like at Mama Helen's house. So even though we can't be in West Virginia this year, we have just a little bit of West Virginia here with us. It's not really the same but it will have to do for now.
