Brown Bag Lunch

Libby's class had a brown bag lunch today for parents. I wasn't able to go but Mike did. The teachers talked to the parents about kindergarten curriculum and then parents got to eat with their child. Mike said that he sat at Libby's table and when the kids came in from recess Libby said, "Dad, we're not eating there. We're eating with Max." Max wants to marry Libby and has told her so a few times. Libby decided that would be alright with her too. He is a sweet little boy. I worked with his dad for a few weeks this year and we discovered that Libby and Max have the same birthday too. It's meant to be.

Corn Maze and a haircut

Every year a farmer in the area makes a corn maze. We love to go. The maze is hard! There are check points throughout the maze with trivia questions. We used to be able to go through the maze in about an hour and a half before the kids came along. Now we spend about an hour and a half and can't find all the clues. We found 5 of the 8 clues today. The trivia questions were HARD this year but thanks to smart phones we got all the answers correct. Yay us!

Libby has been asking to get her hair cut to her chin. I took her yesterday to do it. At first she wasn't sure she really wanted to because her boyfriend, Max, might not like it. Then she decided that she didn't really care if he doesn't like it. It's really cute on her and super easy to take care of.

Just a Picture

We're feeling like the photos have been very Libby-centric lately (she definitely doesn't mind that!), so here's one of our little monkey Brynn. Enjoy!

Libby the Kindergartener

Libby LOVES school! She can't wait to go each day and comes home talking about all sorts of fun stuff she's doing. She really talks all about the fun stuff though and not so much the academics. She's very social and has made a lot of friends. One of her better friends is a little boy named Max. His mom is a teacher at the school and his dad has been subbing long term at my school. It's very fun to discuss this friendship, as it is completely reciprocal. She talks about him all the time and I guess he talks about her too and even calls her, "my Libby". It's really cute. She likes music and library classes and likes center time in the afternoon.

Libby's teacher is also named Libby. Her teacher has been teaching for 37 years and has NEVER had a Libby in her room until now! Her teacher is fabulous and we love her!
