Naps and more

I think Libby is very close to completely giving up her morning nap. She hasn't taken one in 2 days. I know when she goes back to the sitter next week she may take one some days but I do think that little bit of quiet in the morning is almost gone. She's getting to be such a big girl - except for her feet. We went shopping for shoes today and left without buying anything. Libby is between sizes 2 and 3. Her toes are touching the ends in 2's and the 3's are WAY too big. So I guess Libby will be barefoot most of the summer.

Spring Break

Libby and I are on Spring Break right now so I have lots of time to blog and post some pictures.

This is probably about 2-3 weeks ago. But it's just so cute. Libby no longer sleeps in her sleep sack either. She's a big girl sleeping with a blanket.

Here we are all dressed up for our adult night out.

I just love when Libby wears big girl clothes!

Oh that Libby!

We have been very very busy. Last week Libby decided a few nights that she wanted to eat us out of house and home and was waking up in the night to eat. We haven't seen the efforts of that eating frenzy just yet but I'm anticipating it will hit soon and none of her clothes will fit her. She has also started repeating words we say with clarity. She has said shirt, doggie, cat, socks, turtle, Emma, Mom, Dad, thank you, among other words...

Last night we actually had an adult night out. We went to a black tie event for Mike's work. It was really nice and we had a good time. Libby stayed with some friends for the evening and she did very well. She was very clingy at first but they started bringing out some of their daughters' old toys and she was very interested in them. The only things that scared her were their crazy dogs and a neighbor was riding a horse around on the street and that frightened her too. (Don't ask) She didn't sleep too well there but all in all seemed happy.

We don't have any pictures right now but some will follow soon.

Libby feeding Mommy

Libby decided last night that she preferred to feed me instead of me feeding her. Here is video of it.

What a weekend

On Saturday, we spent our afternoon gawking at a group of Neo-Nazis that came through town to protest the University. Then we went to the park to participate in the diversity celebration they were holding to counter the Nazi march. Libby got to swing by herself for the first time and she had a blast. That is a good sign for me this summer that she will enjoy herself at the park.

The daylight savings time change really threw Libby for a loop. She wasn't hungry when we tried to feed her or tired when she should have had a nap. Who knew 1 hour would mess her up so much?

We drove to St. Louis yesterday to visit with my Aunt Arlene and Uncle Bob and some of my cousins. They were all in town because my aunt's mother passed away at 95 years old! That is impressive to me! We were happy to see them but wished it was under better circumstances. They were all happy to get to meet Miss Libby.

Libby is only 10 months old and has now been to 2 funerals/visitations. At 27, I think I've been to about 7.

Here are some pictures of her all dressed up.

This week has been/will be hectic. Mike is out of town and so is Libby. I know that sounds like I'm just hangin' out having a good time but there's a reason Libby's gone. This week is parent-teacher conference week so I have to work late all week and had nobody to watch Libby. So, lucky girl got to go to Grandma and Grandpa's and play with them and Uncle Michael all week! I'm a little lonely but also very much enjoying some Tricia time.

We took this picture last weekend. What a cute girl!

MIKE'S TWO CENTS:
I'm tired. I feel like Libby does in that picture! The conference in Boston is great and I can't wait to come home and see my girls!
