Enjoying Summer

Libby is enjoying her summer. She's been going to school 2 days a week. She gets to go swimming with them and today she got to go to a state park. The park has a cave there and she got to go it. She said it was cold! She got a bath as soon as we got home and here is a very clean Lib with Brynn.





Libby is even mourning Michael Jackson. Yesterday she was attempting to moonwalk and said, "Look Mommy - I'm sunwalking!" I asked her if she meant moonwalking and she said that she did. Then she started doing the moonwalk but going forward and said that was called sunwalking.

Someone is always watching

A few nights ago when we were putting Libby to bed, she decided that her Care Bear was hungry ans nursed her. I guess she's seen me breastfeed Brynn a few times. :)

Dora Live

Last weekend we took Libby to see Dora the Explorer Live. Brynn stayed with my parents and also got to meet her Uncle Mike, Aunt Bea, and cousin Katie. Libby loved Dora and said "I really liked that" when we left.

Brynn was one month old this past Saturday. I can't believe it's been a month. It seems like it's been a lot longer, but I am happy that we're about a third of the way through this newborn phase! She's a very cuddly little girl but is very needy. She wants to be held almost all the time. Right now she's actually happily in her bouncey chair and I am SHOCKED! Because she is often unhappy when we put her down, I haven't been able to get too many good pictures of her. Life is hectic by the time Mike gets home from work so I promise that we'll try to do better on weekends of getting more pictures of her. I also think I saw the first glimpse of a smile yesterday.


You can see that Libby is very interested in Brynn and Brynn does not feel the same way.

Just some sisterly fun

Libby has been wanting Brynn to play with her activity gym for some time now and last night I put Brynn in it and Libby just got right in with her.





Libby noticed last week that Brynn didn't have any eyebrows. She said to Mike, "Brynn doesn't have eyesbrows. I have eyesbrows, Daddy has eyesbrows, and Mommy has eyesbrows." He said that she would get some soon and then she said, "We need to go to the store and buy her some." She also thinks we need to buy Brynn some teeth.

Finally a New Post...

I know it's been awhile since we've posted anything on the blog. Can you imagine that we've been busy and very tired?! Brynn is doing very well now. She is gaining weight and seems to eat well. Libby is still trying to get attention at all the wrong times but we're working on it. She will be going to school 2 days a week this summer and it just worked out that she will be going on the days they go swimming and on field trips. On Tuesday she gets to go to a honey bee farm.
