Libby has been talking a ton lately. Before I share one cute and memorable conversation I need to say that I am NOT pregnant. Here's how it went:
Me: Libby, do you want to be a big sister?
Libby: No!
Me: Libby, do you want to be an only child?
Libby: No!
I sat and thought for a minute and then asked, "Do you want to be the little sister?"
Libby: Okay.
I think she has the whole thing figured out! Too bad for her that her lot in life is to be the big sister.
Another very cute conversation happened when we pulled into the parking lot at church this weekend.
Libby: Hey Daddy!!!!!
Mike: Yes Libby?
Libby: A tree!!!!!
And that was it. She was very excited that we had trees at church.
Last Friday we were at a fish fry (since we can't eat meat on Fridays during Lent). Libby said she would try some fish and she did but she mostly wanted to eat applesauce. She also had fish and green beans on her plate. I told her if she ate some more that I'd get her a cookie. Little stinker cleaned her entire plate!
Last Thursday on our snow day, Libby wanted to play with bubbles right before her nap. I told her that we would play with them right after nap and I put them on the shelf. Wouldn't you know that the very first thing she said on the monitor was "bubble." The kid has a memory like an elephant.
"I'm going to eat you, Daddy."
"I'm a monkey. Hold me upside down."
"Mommy, this is your EYE!"
