It is going to be a super hot day today with a high of 87 degrees. I know that many of you are thinking, "Big deal, just turn on the A/C." And many of you would be right if I worked in a school that had A/C. I will be sitting here in my brick walled office melting today, but it's that time of year again. Cranky students and teachers alike will be walking up and down our hallways this week. We have about 5 1/2 weeks of school left which, trust me, is a lot longer than it sounds.
Libby has developed a list of irrational fears. She has recently become terrified of sitting on the grass. We have no idea why. She used to be just fine and played happily up until about 2-3 weeks ago. We can't think of anything that happened outside that would scare her but she is just totally freaked out. As soon as she thinks you are about to set her down she starts clutching onto your shirt or arm and will not let go. I think that we will be spending our summer trying to overcome this fear. I hope it will work.
We haven't taken any pictures lately; we've just been so busy trying to stay healthy (we all had a round of a stomach bug) and trying to finish up our landscaping.
I hope you all stay cool today!

Dear Trish and Mike,
I was thinking about you guys with the floods up there and decided to check out your blog, which I hadn't tuned in to for quite a while. WOW! How that little dolly has grown - even more beautiful than when I saw her last summer!.
Anyway, hope you are all OK and not flooded out. We're way short of rain and there are fires all around Florida, so the air smells absolutely horrid. Better to just keep inside and do a rain dance!
Love to all,
Aunt Kath
