OK, so the title doesn't refer to anything Libby's done (or not done). Let me tell you a story of how Tricia and I know that we're so alike it's scary.
As I've mentioned before, The Wonder Years is back on TV and we've got all episodes set to record to our DVR. We've fallen pretty far behind lately, so many times on the weekends or after Libby goes to bed, we'll watch one or two. On Saturday afternoon during Libby's 4-hour nap (yes, I said 4 hours...it was great!), we watched 3 of them. One dealt with Kevin and Winnie breaking up, yet again, this time at the Natural History Museum. As they were breaking up, a song was playing that we think was "One is the Loneliest Number"...we're not 100% sure if that was it, but bear with me. Fast forward about 30 minutes and we're in the sunroom - Tricia on the computer and me doing laundry or something. We've both got the Kevin-Winnie breakup song in our head and I say to her, "so honey, if we breakup, what song will be playing in the background?" Without hesitation, both of us, at the same time mind you, belt out "Celebrate Good Times, Come On!" Now, for those of us who don't know us, that's just one example of our sense of humor. We're sharing a brain people! We're not actually breaking up. I repeat, no break up of the Kosher family! But we got a good laugh out of the fact that we are on the same, albeit limited, brain wave.
Now, on to Miss Libby...she's been really thinking about sitting herself on her Dora toy bus. She loves to pull up on it and play with the buttons, but she can't get on the bus without one of us helping her onto it. This weekend she got really brave, as you'll see in the pictures.
MK
"Hey, wanna hear a story?"
She did this all on her own - she grabbed the book, pulled herself onto the bus, and sat Indian style for us.
"I know I can do it..."
"Maybe this will help"
"Hey Mom, is this OK?"
