Visiting New Stomping Grounds (and Vicinity)

The girls and I made our first trip to PA. We'll be moving up there permanently in about 2 months. Here are some photos I snapped in the first few days of our visit. More to come soon.

Brynn already tired. We hadn't even left MO yet.

One of the few cherry trees with blossoms left in DC. Most of the blooms had already fallen off but the few that were still on were beautiful.

We visited the Natural History Museum in DC. They had this wonderful butterfly room that the girls loved. I think I took some nice close ups of the butterflies.

The Washington Monument was closed but still was impressive.

Libby examining a giant piece of Amethyst Quart. I think she's trying to figure out how to best wear it on a ring.

gotta love Brynn's face in this one

We went to Chocolate World and created our own Hershey's chocolate bar. Brynn was not happy about the required attire.

Libby couldn't wait!

Watching our chocolate bars come through. Brynn chose a milk chocolate base with pretzels mixed into it. It was then covered with a milk chocolate top.

Libby chose a dark chocolate base with semi-sweet chocolate chips and pretzels inside. Then it was topped with milk chocolate and sprinkles. Mike and I split one and chose a while chocolate base filled with chocolate chips, raspberry fruit pieces, and pretzels. It was also topped with milk chocolate. Talk about wonderful!

Libby with her personally designed wrapper for her personalized chocolate bar.

Brynn was not too happy about the hair net or apron so by the time we got to the personalizing wrapper stage, she was unwilling to pick one. We picked this for her.
