Libby-isms

Libby does not like spaghetti and when we eat it for dinner she refuses to eat any. Last night when we served her spaghetti she came up with a good Libby-ism.

Libby: I'm allergic to spaghetti.
Mike: How do you know about being allergic to things?
Libby: At school, Paige says that all the time.
Mike: What does it mean to be allergic?
Libby: Kids say that when they don't want to eat something and then they don't have to eat it.

Out of the mouths of babes! But what Libby doesn't know is that her friend Paige is very allergic to peanuts so she really CAN'T eat a lot of things were as Libby doesn't want to eat them!

Another funny Libby-ism yesterday was about a dress that she likes to wear. She had been wearing it all day and wanted to continue to wear it as pajamas. I didn't want her to and told her she'd have to change. She then said in her most serious voice, "Mommy. I like it. It's short sleeves. I want to sleep in it." She even held up 1 finger for each point she was trying to make.

This is so funny! She'll try any excuse not to eat when she doesn't want something, but this is a classic.
