First Football Game

Last night we went down to see the football team play where Mike works. After we had been there for about a 30 minutes, Libby says, "Hey Daddy! You work here!" because she had seen the logo on a sign. She's been "reading" logos for about a year now so we're not surprised that she put two and two together but it was a little slow of her because we had been telling her that we were going there all day.

At half-time they were shooting t-shirts and stuffed animals out into the audience and Libby really wanted one of the tigers. She didn't get one but then on our way out we ran into the Athletic Director and she promised to send one home with Mike on Monday. Lucky little girl!

Libby's been complaining about things being too loud for a long time. I'm starting to get a little worried about it. I used to think it was because she had tubes in her ears and that made things too loud. But now those have been out for about 5 months and she's still saying things are too loud. Last night at half-time the band playing made her cover her ears with her hands and she sobbed because of the noise. She also sobbed one night because she said there was a sound. I went into her room and heard nothing. Mike then noticed that her fan made a little squeak when it oscilated and that was bothering her so much that she was hiding under her blankets crying and couldn't sleep. I think I'm going to call her ENT tomorrow and see if he suggests anything. This will actually be about the 2nd or 3rd time I've talked with him about it but only the first since her tubes have been out and her ears have completely healed. He didn't seem too worried about it before but maybe now it will warrent some more attention.

On another note, I started back to school last week and haven't been so tired in my whole life (although Mike says I'm like this at the beginning of every school year). Brynn is settling into daycare nicely and her sitter seems to really like her. Libby is back at preschool full time and is still expecting to go on a field trip every week like they did over the summer. Bummer that the school year isn't quite as exciting.
