The Cat with Two Names

Our cat Karl (his real name) has dual personalities and names to match each of his personalities. He is Karl when he is in a sour mood and Bubba when he is loving and sweet. Lately we have not seen Karl much at all but Bubba has been around a lot. I think we have Libby to thank for this transformation.

The cat was Mike's before we got married. Around the time we got engaged Karl started to really warm up to me and wanted to spend more time with me then he did with Mike. When we got our menagerie together under one roof, he hated me! I think he blamed me for bringing Zebby and Earl into the mix when he was accustomed to being the only pet. After a few months he finally warmed up to Zebby and now they are BFF.

Well, since we've brought Libby home he has been a different cat. He's back to loving me and has even let up on the dog some. He doesn't hiss or attack the dog anymore and it seems that Earl isn't scared of him anymore either. Earl used to stop dead in his tracks if Karl was around and now I've seen him walk right by him as if Karl wasn't even there. I think she has united all the animals. Karl and Earl both love her and love to smell her and kiss her. Zebby is the only one who doesn't seem to have an opinion about her one way or the other. I really thought we'd have some trouble with the pets and Libby but it seems that all the worrying was for nothing. I guess we're pretty lucky!
